I haven’t exactly kept it a secret that I really like the new indie maker Scofflaw Nail Varnish, so when her Etsy opened up last Sunday for the first time I was eagerly awaiting (and refreshing like a mad woman) the chance to grab some.
As soon as her shop opened up I snagged five of them (five?! I know! I haven’t gotten indies like that since NerdLacquer!), but by the time I logged into PayPal I got cart jacked (NOOOO) and was only able to buy this one.
While heartbroken that I didn’t get my hands on David Bowie’s Bulge (pun intended) I am really pleased I snagged Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
WTF is a lovely teal jelly- here let Scofflaw tell you:

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is a teal jelly base packed with red, white, gold and brown glitters of various shapes and sizes. Factoid: the term comes from scientists studying foxes in Alaska that had eaten saw grass, which acts like a heavy drug. The foxes lose motor control and move in a jittery way that almost appears like drunken dancing (LIES LIES my pants are on fire. We all know what whiskey tango foxtrot means).

The glitters work so well together, and I’m a sucker for teals anyway, and I think the tiny square glitter don’t take away from the polish like I see most square glitters doing.
I cannot say more good things about Scofflaw, and I really wish great success for her in the future.
If you’d like to buy any Scofflaw Nail Lacquer, go here, and if you can like them on Facebook here.

YAY, more new indie polishes to show off!!
This is the first in a set that I got from a new indie maker, Paper Heart Productions.
This is Sugar and Spice, a beautifully unique polish, and I honestly don’t have anything like it in my stash.
It’s got tiny holographic pink glitters, then large gold and silver holographic squares. The squares were what drew me to the polish at first, I don’t see it used often and it’s so neat. I am actually blown away at how beautiful the squares are, these things are beyond breathtaking, when they hit sunlight (or really any type of light), they just explode with color. I had a time trying to decide what to layer this with, so I went with OPI’s Who the Shrek are You? and Andrea’s Choice Tightrope.
I seriously cannot say enough good things about this polish (or Kelley the owner), and here is the best news- if you’d like to try it yourself, Paper Heart Nails is only $4.50 for a full sized bottle and $3.00 for a mini!! Shazam that’s a deal! Not only that, but she has a great indie starter kit that ships internationally if you’d like to make your own.
You can purchase Paper Heart polish here, and here, like them here, and follow them on Instagram here.
Disclosure- Products were provided to me by the manufacturer for my opinion and honest review. See here for more information.

It’s still Halloween here; I can post this without feeling bad!
This beauty is Spectral Pup by Dollish Polish, and it’s a humdinger. I caught the restock sale of them recently so I was able to snag a few of her Halloween Nightmare Before Christmas polishes at a steal.
This is based on Zero, the adorable ghost dog from the movie, it’s a glow-in-the-dark glitter bomb, with a clear(ish) base with large and small orange and white hexes, and large and small white squares. It also seems to have smaller blue/green flashes to it. I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls from the Spider-Man collection as the undies.
Now onto the part you’re waiting for, a night shot!

Look at this puppy glow!! You can find Dollish on twitter here, like them on FaceBook here, and buy her polish here.

I do apologize for my absence, I’ve got family in town for the next week so I’ll be MIA for a bit longer, that being said, this is the last in the Oz trio from A Rhyming Dictionary.
Betsy Bobbin is her name, and she is by far my favorite of the set; it’s a matte glitter (I used a coat of Seche to shine it up), with pink/salmon mini round glitters, small green and red glitters, medium blue hexes and large black circle glitters. I know it sounds like a crazy lot of glitters together, but they really work and look fabulous together. I wore it as a top coat over SpaRutual Heliotrope, and I plan on ordering a full size bottle as soon as this one is empty- which wont take long because I’ve worn it so much!!
You can buy Betsy Bobbin here, or see the entire Rhyming Dictionary store here or you can like them here.

This is the second of the trio of Oz inspired polishes made by A Rhyming Dictionary; Shaggy Man!
Shaggy Man is a clear based glitter bomb: micro fine emerald green glitter, large and small emerald, gold, copper and red hexes, all mixed in with red, gold, and green squares.
It’s a gorgeous polish, and I can’t wait to wear it come winter time, it seems like a perfect Christmas/holiday glitter. I did have the slightest problem with the larger squares taco-ing but it wasn’t anything that I haven’t seen before or couldn’t deal with. I did end up sponging this one, as I only wanted it on my tips, but it does pull out very easy from the bottle, I didn’t have to fish out anything. I used Gosh Miss Grey as a base.
You can buy Shaggy Man here, or see the entire Rhyming Dictionary store here or you can like them here.

I have a new indie collection to show you all!!
A Rhyming Dictionary has mixed up a collection entirely based on the Oz books by L. Frank Baum. The entire Oz collection is just beautiful and I’m so excited about them.
This is the first of three I’ll be showing you; say hello to Kaliko! It has multiple shard glitters in blurple, black, white, and silver. I’m wearing it over SpaRitual’s Aurum which was part of the gold collection. I got so many complements while wearing it, even had someone ask if they could borrow it!!
Formula on this one was great, I had no trouble getting full coverage from the brush with a few strokes. I did do my ring finger with the sponge method to see if that was any better but it seemed to be worse, the sponge picked up the shards but didn’t let them go. You’re better off using the brush on this glitter. Wear time was good, and it wasn’t too difficult to take off like some glitters (I’m looking at you DL Happy Birthday).
You can buy Kaliko here or see the entire Rhyming Dictionary store here or you can like them here.

I have a new indie polish to show off today!!
This is from Twisted Fantasy Polish called One Bad Apple over OPI Funky Dunkey. It’s got a massive amount of tiny green micro glitter, with small and medium black hex glitters and an assortment of white square and hex glitters.
It’s completely opaque after three coats, but I prefer it on top of another color, it makes it pop more for me. I really do like it, and I’ve gotten a lot of complements on it this week.
Here is a close up for you:

You can purchase this polish here and like them on Facebook here.

Darling Diva Polish’s Vegas Showgirl is indeed a show stopper. I wore this all day and had people stopping me throughout the day asking what I was wearing. It’s incredibly eye catching, with large purple squares, large green hex, smaller gold/green(ish) squares and if that’s not enough there is also small green glitters mixed in too. It’s all suspended in a teal tinted base.

Actin-ium My Age is from Indie polish maker Elemental Styles and oh my goodness I love it so much. It’s a purple holographic polish (look at that beauty!!) with smaller silver/iridescent hex and larger purple hex glitter mixed in.
This combines my three favorite loves, glitter, holo, and purple!! It’s a nail polish trifecta for me. (If only I could get this in blue, I would never take it off!) The glitters keep it from being dull when you look at it inside like most holos do, and when you take it into the sun it just explodes.
You can buy Actin-ium My Age from Elemental Styles Etsy here and learn more about her and see more of her amazing frankens here.
