I started out with two coats of OPI Funky Donkey, sponged on China Glaze Graffiti Glitter and a small bit of Orly Monster Mash.
Then I used some temporary tattoos I picked up at Meijer for the ring finger accent and then I added “ha ha” with a striping brush.

I recently went to the International Salon and Spa Expo in Chicago and I just had to do my nails up!
I used OPI Funky Donkey, which is one of my favorite colors; Orly Cupcakes and Unicorns, Essie Pure Pearlfection, Orly Can’t Be Tamed and one star, picked out and daintily placed from Wet n Wild Stars and Stripes. Then because I have a problem and don’t know when enough is enough, I slapped on two giant roses from NailGrafx.
I love this design so much, it’s so busy! What do you think?
Let me tell you, I am not a Monster drinker. My husband on the other hand, is a Monster fiend. He buys cases of them at Sams, so we have empties hanging around the house quite often. Whenever I see them I’m always struck at how pretty the colors are together, whomever designed the can did a great job, they are beautiful. I always thought it would make a great sponge mani, so last night I decided to give it a try, and let me tell you, it couldn’t have been easier. The hardest part was picking out colors!!
I ended up using China Glaze Liquid Leather for the base, GOSH Miss Grey, Sally Hansen Blue By!, Orly Lucky Duck, China Glaze Gaga for Green and OPI Did It On ‘Em.

Monster Mash is another of the 22 Flash Glam FX polishes from Orly, and goodness I do love it already. (Also, you get a shot of the mysterious right hand. ^__^)
Medium green hex glitters, holographic bar glitter and small, micro holo glitters swimming in a green jelly; what’s not to love??

I’m not sure when they are all going to be released, but I’m assuming this is going to be around Halloween, if you can’t wait till then, you can purchase it online here.
I was able to get my hands on six of the new as-of-yet unreleased Orly Flash Glam FX Glitters, so today I bring you Cupcakes and Unicorns!
It’s a pink/purple duochrome shimmer filled with red bar glitter, it really pops over black and is almost unnoticeable over natural nails except for the hairy glitter. The bar glitter was a bit bothersome for me to get even on the nail, but nothing that I couldn’t fix with a few dips in the bottle.
Orly says to make the new glitters pop to try them over black and while it does look good, I really think this will be crazy awesome over a purple, and I can’t wait to give it a try.
I’m not entirely sure when this is being released to retail stores, but you can get your hands on it from the Orly website here.

What do you think of the new glitters?
Today I have a new polish for you all! This is a new collection from Orly called Flash Glam FX. I’m not sure when it was released, but I’m so pleased I saw them when I did. It’s a small collection of five polishes; a golden hex with bar glitter (Sashay My Way), a pink holo made entirely of bar glitter (Be Brave), a large purple hex with smaller silver hex (Can’t Be Tamed), tiny blue glitters with larger blue hex (Spazmatic), and lastly this gem, which is a mix of small green glitter medium blue hex glitters and larger green hexes (Mermaid Tale). The larger green hex glitter has a bit of holographic to it as well. If you get one from this collection this should be it.
For this mani I made an open faced jelly sandwich; layered China Glaze Ride the Waves with Spazmatic another coat of Ride the Waves and finally a coat of Mermaid Tale. Usually you would layer another jelly on top but Mermaid Tale was too pretty to cover.

Two posts in one day?! I know, I’m as shocked as you.
Though I do think Lucky Duck is beautiful, I thought it was missing that something extra, so I topped it with indie polish Pretty & Polished Valentino.
It’s one in a long line of black and white glitters that have been popping up since She-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named started it all.
I think out of all of them, Valentino is my favorite. There is no shimmer in the polish, and most importantly, no bar glitters (I do not like them, blah). You can buy Pretty and Polished here but I don’t think there is any in stock.
Here is a close up for you:
What’s your stance on bar glitter, and what do you think of all the B&W polishes coming out?

Mysterious Curse and Buried Alive look great!
