Two posts in one day? Whoo!
Chels from Pretty & Polished (my absolute favorite indie polish) sent me a few bottles to try out, and Cuttlefish was one of them, which is so great, because I wanted to try this one as soon as I saw her promo pics of it.
Cuttlefish is part of her color changing line of polishes, and when it’s warm it turns white, but cold turns it a lovely teal. Now if you look closely, you’ll notice it has glitter bits in it! Large gold hex, small green round and hex glitters along with medium blue hex and round glitters.
Now be aware that because of the color changing pigment that these are thicker than usual, so a bit of thinner and you’ll be right as rain. With that in mind, the application on this was a bit tricky, I did dab a bit to get the glitters where I wanted them, but as soon as I added a bit of thinner everything worked much better. Also, the other thing I thought was neat, was that no matter how thick a topcoat, it’ll still change colors, and boy will it change colors.

I wanted to show everyone how fast the color change was, so I made a quick video; never mind that I didn’t say a word in it- I have no idea what to say on camera. ^___^

Just a quick post tonight, to let you know how much I have fallen in love with OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. This came from the recent Spiderman tie-in and though I was really disappointed with the overall collection a few of them were great. I wish they had rethought the collection, but still released these colors with something else. This color is a bit of a minx; it appears to be white at first glance, but on closer inspection it actually leans a bit more grey. It’s about as light as you can get without being an actual white. Once I had some tip wear I topped it with Pretty and Polished Valentino, such a great glitter.

Two posts in one day?! I know, I’m as shocked as you.
Though I do think Lucky Duck is beautiful, I thought it was missing that something extra, so I topped it with indie polish Pretty & Polished Valentino.
It’s one in a long line of black and white glitters that have been popping up since She-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named started it all.
I think out of all of them, Valentino is my favorite. There is no shimmer in the polish, and most importantly, no bar glitters (I do not like them, blah). You can buy Pretty and Polished here but I don’t think there is any in stock.
